The New England Patriots clinched their first playoff berth in four years Sunday after producing a late touchdown drive and forcing a turnover to beat the Baltimore Ravens on “Sunday Night Football.”
With New England’s 28-24 win in Baltimore, it improves to 11-3 and remains the league’s only undefeated team on the road this season at 7-0. If the Patriots beat the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins in the season’s final two weeks, they will win their first AFC East title since 2019.
Baltimore lost former MVP Lamar Jackson before halftime to a back injury.
One week after losing a double-digit lead in a home loss to Buffalo, the Patriots trailed 24-13 with 12:50 remaining in the fourth quarter, only to score 15 unanswered points. Drake Maye found Kyle Williams for a 37-yard touchdown pass with 9:01 to play. Rhamondre Stevenson, who was playing after a head injury sidelined starting Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson, then scored on a 21-yard run with 2:07 left.
With a chance to take back the lead, backup Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley found Zay Flowers across the middle of the field for a short completion, but when Flowers turned upfield, New England’s K’Lavon Chaisson came from behind to force a fumble that New England recovered, effectively ending the game with less than two minutes to play.
The Ravens fall to 7-8 with two games remaining and just 3-6 at home, only the third time in franchise history they will finish with a losing home record.
New England’s Maye finished with 380 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception. After Jackson exited, with 101 passing yards, Huntley completed nine of his 10 passes for 65 yards and led two touchdown drives; another second-half drive ended in a missed field goal for Baltimore, as well.

Final: Patriots 28, Ravens 24
The Patriots ran out the clock after the Zay Flowers fumble to seal their come-from-behind victory. What a win for New England, which trailed 24-13 in the fourth quarter.
The Pats still have a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC, while the Ravens will need help to make the playoffs.

No pass interference?
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey tackled New England’s Kayshon Boutte on a deep downfield pass that it appeared Boutte had caught, flat on his back, despite being brought down to the ground. But the ball flapped out of Boutte’s hands at the last moment, leading to an incompletion. The play was easily pass interference, NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay said on the “Sunday Night Football” broadcast.

Touchdown, Patriots!
Drake Maye throws a laser to the one spot where receiver Kyle Williams could catch the pass for a 37-yard touchdown reception. It’s Williams’ third touchdown this season.

The second half is under way

The Patriots have the ball to open the half.
12h ago / 9:48 PM EST
One play later, nearly another turnover!
What a strange way to go into halftime in a game tied at 10-all.
Right after New England lost a fumble, the Patriots nearly recovered one when Mark Andrews caught a short pass from backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, then tried to lateral the ball as he was tumbling to the ground. But the lateral quickly hit the ground, and New England jumped on top.
But wait! A personal foul for roughing the passer was called on New England, while an illegal forward pass was called on Andrews. Those calls offset, and the Ravens kept the ball, only to kneel and run out the clock on a highly entertaining first half.
